A three week Home Unlimited series for parents of Metro Achievement Center
Chicago, Illinois
Metro Achievement Center
5:30-7:30 pm
Good and Simple: Life’s Basics is a three-week series designed for parents of the Metro Achievement Center. Together we will explore practical, creative, and meaningful ways to enrich daily life at home—through wise budgeting, creating spaces of beauty and rest, and caring for loved ones during life’s transitions. Each evening will begin and/or end with wine, cheese, and/or a variety of savory and sweet hors d’oeuvres.
Session Two: Creating Sanctuary Spaces and Beautiful Meals
Jo M., an experienced architect, will share her professional insights and her personal story of a “life on the run.” She will guide us in identifying spaces at home where we can step back from daily demands and find renewal. In addition, Larissa Z., trained at Le Cordon Bleu, will introduce us to the art of “eating with your eyes first.” Through examples and a hands-on demonstration, we will learn techniques of “food plating” and presentation that bring beauty to everyday meals.
This event is free.
Please register through Metro Achievement Center.
